The Malaysian Government has reportedly approved RM20 million to rebuild or repair 22 Tamil schools in the states of Selangor, Kedah, Penang and Perak.

Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) president and the country’s Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu was quoted by The Star as saying that the allocation is being made to create a conducive environment for Tamil school students.

He said that out of the RM 20 million, RM 10.9 million would go to rebuilding ten schools in Selangor. (ANI)
