Keira Knightley couldn’t breathe in ‘The Duchess’ costumes!

Oscar-nominee Keira Knightley has revealed that the dresses she had to wear while shooting her new film ‘The Duchess’ left her gasping.

The film features her in the role of the 18th century socialite Georgiana Cavendish, the fashion-loving Duchess of Devonshire whose life has often been compared with Princess Diana’s.

Knightley said that the costumes made for her role were really very elegant, but insisted that they were not comfortable at all.

“The costumes were fantastic but not terribly comfortable – you can’t breathe in those things,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.

The Duchess opens in cinemas across Britain on Friday. (ANI)

Sir Cliff Richard reveals his “companion” is an ex-priest

English singer Sir Cliff Richard, whose sexuality has been a hot topic of debate, has for the first time spoken about his close friendship with a former Roman Catholic priest.

In his autobiography, the 67-year-old legend has revealed that he calls Father John McElynn, who shares his home, his “companion” and “blessing”.

In ‘My Life, My Way’, written with author Penny Junor, Richards said that he met the American former missionary McElynn, then 46, on a trip to New York seven years ago.

“He hadn’t had any thought at the beginning of giving up the priesthood, but when it became clear he was thinking of the possibility, I suggested he might help me with some charitable projects,” Daily Express quoted Richard, as saying.

“That was seven years ago and our arrangement has worked out really well. John now spends most of his time looking after my properties, which means I don’t have to.

“John and I have over time struck up a close friendship. He has also become a companion, which is great because I don’t like living alone, even now,” he added.

Talking about the speculations surrounding his sexuality, Richard said, “As for my sexuality I am sick to death of the media’s speculation about it.

“What business is it of anyone else’s what any of us are as individuals? I don’t think my fans would care either way.”

Richard also gave his approval for same-sex partnerships.

“Same sex marriages are perhaps a modern example of how things have changed. I think the Church must come round and see people as they are now,” he said.

“Gone are the days when we assumed loving relationships would be solely between men and women.

“In the end, I believe, people are going to be judged for what they are. It seems to me that commitment is the issue, and if anyone comes to me and says: ‘This is my partner – we are committed to each other’ then I don’t care what their sexuality is. I’m not going to judge – I’ll leave that to God,” he added. (ANI)

Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage is so fascinated with making films outside his native U.S. that he has vowed to work in more multicultural projects.

The ‘National Treasure’ actor, who has shot his upcoming flick ‘Bangkok Dangerous’ entirely in Thailand with a complete Chinese crew, insists his experience has inspired him to develop a more ‘international mind’.

"(It''s an) all Asian (cast). I''m probably the only white guy in the movie. For me, that''s always interesting - when you see different cultures, different races interacting.” Contactmusic quoted Cage, as saying.

"There''s always going to be an undeniable dramatic tension there. And that''s fascinating to watch. You want to see people getting along in cultures. And you want to see how it''s going to turn out.” He added.

Nicolas Cage expressed that he holds high regards for talent from diverse countries.

"It''s refreshing to work with people from all around the world who are so talented, and introducing them to the United States as well." He said. (ANI)

Hollywood actress Miley Cyrus has gifted herself a new Mercedes convertible- even though she''s too young to drive it.

The ‘Hannah Montana’ actress, who will turn 16 on Nov 16, has bought herself the lavish car containing desired cream coloured leather interior, although she is too young to drive.

"Miley wanted special options like parking assist and a cream-coloured leather interior, so she ordered the car early,” Contactmusic quoted a source, as telling In Touch Magazine.

Cyrus has revealed that when she gets the car on her birthday, she will tell all that it’s a gift from her parents.

“She’s telling everyone that she hopes to get a car when she turns 16, so when it comes, she can say it was a surprise from her parents,” the source added. (ANI)

Kate Moss struts down the catwalk after five year hiatus

Supermodel Kate Moss left audience dumfounded when she walked the ramp after five years.

The model, who was one of the audiences at the launch bash for fashion label House of Blueeyes, at London’s Bush Hall, all of a sudden decided to walk the ramp.

“Kate was jumping about asking to model.” The Sun quoted a source, as saying.

“You’d have thought it was her first time, but the crowd knew this was something special,” the source added.

Moss grabbed a top hat and a cane and hit the stage watched by her beau Jamie Hince and the audience.

Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto hosting the show also paraded with Moss in a clown suit. (ANI)
