Vin Diesel to bring back ‘XXX’ phenomenon

Good news for Vin Diesel fans: the Hollywood actor is set to make another ‘XXX’ flick.

The actor will be returning to the franchise he ditched after the first film, reports Contactmusic.

The ‘The Iron Giant’ actor and director Rob Cohen - who both worked together in 2005 sequel XXX: State of the Union - are in talks to reunite for a new film, XXX: The Return of Xander Cage.

The writing team behind the hit Terminator 3 has been handed the job of creating a script for the flick, while filming is expected to begin early next year (09). (ANI)

Jacko too sick to appear in London court for sheikh lawsuit

An attorney for Michael Jackson has claimed that the singer is too sick to appear in court to testify in a lawsuit with an Arab sheikh.

The singer''s lawyer Robert Englehart told the High Court in London on Nov 18 (08) that Jackson is awaiting test results on a mystery illness and wants to give his testimony via video link from the U.S.

Sheikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa of Bahrain is suing the Thriller hitmaker for 7 million dollars, reports Contactmusic.

The sheikh says Jackson reneged on a contract for an album, a candid autobiography and a stage play, after accepting millions of dollars in advance.

However, the pop star has denied the claims, insisting any monies given to him were as a gift.

Judge Nigel Sweeney has now adjourned the case until Nov 20 (08) to allow time for medical experts from both legal teams to discuss Jackson''s condition.

However, if no satisfactory outcome is reached, Jackson could be forced to appear in court in person. (ANI)

Even though she’s one of America’s most sought after actresses, Reese Witherspoon has revealed that it was not the case when she was growing up.

The 32-year-old star has revealed that she grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, where she had not been as popular as she presently is, especially when it came to games and looks.

“I had giant Coke bottle glasses when I was little and I was always the midget, the little one. No one would pick me on the kickball teams,” Fox News quoted her as saying.

The ‘Walk the Line’ star, who received an Academy Award in 2006 for the movie, further revealed that she turned to her secret alter ego, as a country music singer, only when she was driving.

“I pretend that I''''m a country music singer in my car and I''''m really good in my car, amazing,” she stated.

Christina Aguilera, who is still struggling to lose her baby weight, has admitted that she is determined to get back in shape.

The singer, who gave birth to son Max, her first child with husband Jordan Bratman, in January - has admitted that she is finding it tough to shift her last few post-pregnancy pounds, reports China Daily.

"Now I am back in the gym trying to eat as healthy as I can except for my one cheat day a week," she said.

However, the 27-year-old has admitted that lack of calorific treats is making her crazy because she loves food so much.

"I hate deprivation. I just can''t do it. If I feel deprived I get really angry. I don''t do the no-carbs thing. I have to have my carbs. No cheating for me means no real junk food," she added. (ANI)

Courtney Love has denied Internet claims that she has been feeling suicidal.

Recently, the singer alarmed fans in a bizarre rant on her MySpace blog about death, reports Usmagazine.com.

However, now Love insists that she occasionally gets depressed and has no intentions of ending her life.

She wrote on her blog: "No, I am not suicidal. Occasionally, like all of us, I get depressed."

After revealing that she suffered a "mini little depression attack" more than a year ago, Love says she has learned that "medication is not the answer" to dealing with her mood swings.

The singer also said that all of the negative press she has received from bloggers is affecting her 16-year-old daughter Frances Bean.

"Please leave my kid out of it. When I make a technical booboo or get a little whacky [sic] ... [it''s] my problem," she wrote.

Love also said that she''s quitting blogging so she doesn''t "upset" her daughter anymore. (ANI)

The country music singer, who made her debut with her hit single ‘Tim McGraw’, said that she was often separated from the regular lot by girls who dubbed her ‘weird’.

"A lot of girls thought I was weird. Actually, the word they liked to use was annoying,” Us magazine quoted her as saying in the December issue of Women''s Health.

“I''d sit at their lunch table and they''d move to a different one,” she added.

The teenager, wrote her first song at the age of eight, further joked she was more popular in high school than she was now.

Michael Caine stands up for the WAGs

English actor Michael Caine has leapt in support of WAGs in the ongoing debate whether or not they distract footballers.

The debate started earlier this year after England boss Fabio Capello banned players'' partners under his new strict regime, saying that they were a distraction.

But Sir Michael Caine has showed that he is all in favour of the WAGs.

He is even said to have told his friends that they are good for the game.
