Researchers close to using carbon nanotubes to connect computer chips
The researchers say that they have developed a simple method to grow ordered arrays of interconnect type multi-walled nanotubes.
In their previous work to develop junction structure nanotubes, the researchers used various methods.
However, the current study has revealed that through the process of chemical vapour deposition, such junction structure nanotubes can be arranged in a desired pattern.
The researchers say that the arrays of nanotubes grown by the new method come with the ability to fine tune the proportion of junction structures through control of initial conditions, and processing parameters such as trench width and reaction temperature.
The research work has been described in a special edition of the journal AZoJono. (ANI)
