Vice President Hamid Ansari has greeted the
people ahead of  Eid-ul-Zuha.

In his message, Ansari said the festival celebrates the spirit of sacrifice
that God requires of man.

“The joy of sharing and doing charity on this festival provides comfort to the poor and
unites us all in common brotherhood,” Ansari said.

He called upon people to celebrate the festival with compassion
and to serve the cause of humanity.

Eid-ul-Zuha or Baqr-e-Eid is a Muslim festival that marks the end of the Haj.
Muslims sacrifice the goats and distribute its meat among family, friends and the poor.

Muslims believe a sacrificed goat is a reflection of one's own spiritual sacrifice, and
see it as essential for achieving communion with Allah.

For Muslims, Eid-ul-Zuha is a time to offer the perfect goat to the Prophet.(ANI)
