Special feast for birds and animals of Lucknow Zoo on Diwali

A special menu has been prepared as per the tastes and preference of all animals at the zoo.

Elephants will be served with sugarcane and jaggery, the bears will feast on honey with rice pudding, the monkeys will enjoy peanuts and eggs whereas the chimpanzees will savour the fruit salad.

To create a festive ambience, the zoo walls and enclosures have been spruced up and re-painted.

"We have painted all the enclosures in the zoo for Diwali. And just like on Diwali we like to eat something special, we decided to give something special to the animals as well. So, we have changed the menu for some animals on Diwali," said Renu Singh, Director, Lucknow Zoo. (ANI)
