President, PM greet Vajpayee on his 84th birthday

Dr. Singh visited Vajpayee’s residence at 7-Krishna Menon Marg to wish him.

President Pratibha Patil also greeted former Prime Minister Vajpayee. President sent an ADC to Vajpayee's residence a bouquet of flowers and a letter of best wishes to him, in which she extended her greetings.

The President is at present touring South India with her secretariat functioning from Rashtrapathi Nilayam at Hyderabad.

A large number of well-wishers greeted Vajpayee for long life with flowers and sweets.

Senior party leader L K Advani had called on him on Monday evening to wish him as he had to go to Gandhinagar to attend the swearing in of Narendra Modi as Gujarat Chief Minister.

Among others who called on Vajpayee are former BJP leader Madanlal Khurana and Panthers Party chief Bhim Singh. (ANI)
