Centre approves setting up of Babu Jagjivan Ram National Foundation

The Union Cabinet today gave its approval in principle for setting up a Foundation named 'Babu Jagjivan Ram National Foundation" as a society under the Social Justice and Empowerment Ministry at the cost of 54 crores rupees.

The Babu Jagjivan Ram National Foundation will facilitate implementation of various schemes for the social, educational and economic empowerment of the disadvantaged sections of the society, a government release said.

This will also help these sections to join the mainstream society and face the emerging challenges of the modern world. (ANI)
