Smith’s ‘I Am Legend’ tops international box office

Will Smith starrer ‘I Am Legend’ emerged as the top earner at the international box office during the pre-Christmas weekend, raking in an estimated 25.3 million dollars from 15 markets.

 

The sci-fi thriller bagged the first position beating Nicole Kidman’s ‘The Golden Compass’, which was at number two with 23.9 million dollars from 49 markets.

 

Disney's ‘National Treasure: Book of Secrets’ was at third position with 22.3 million dollars from 17 markets, while ‘Enchanted’ raked in 15.8 million dollars from 41 countries to be fourth among top earners.

 

Wrapping up the top five was ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’ with a business of 13 million dollars from 38 markets, reports Variety magazine.
