‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ director Mike Newell has been asked to helm ‘Prince of Persia’, a computer game inspired flick. And making the request is none other than Jerry Bruckheimer. The movie adaptation of the video game has long been a pet project of Bruckheimer. The producer is hoping that the first pic, ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time’, will spawn off a series, reports Variety. The video game was extremely popular and led to six instalments and several spin-offs. The script for the movie has been penned by Jeffrey Nachmanoff and video game creator Jordan Mechner. (ANI) |
