D.C. critics award ‘No Country for Old Men’ best film gong

The film received four awards including director for Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, acting group and supporting actor for Javier Bardem, reports Variety.

George Clooney won the best actor award for the portrayal of an ethically challenged lawyer in ‘Michael Clayton.’

Julie Christie has been named as the best actress award for her role as an Alzheimer's patient in Lionsgate's ‘Away From Her.’

Amy Ryan has been honoured as the best supporting actress for ‘Gone Baby Gone’ while Ellen Page was awarded breakthrough performance for her portrayal of a pregnant teen in ‘Juno.’

The writing gongs went to Aaron Sorkin for his adaptation of ‘Charlie Wilson's War’ and Diablo Cody for her original screenplay for ‘Juno.’

‘The Diving Bell and the Butterfly’ has been given the best foreign film title; ‘Ratatouille’ received the award for best-animated feature; and Michael Moore's ‘Sicko’ has been voted as the best documentary feature.  

‘Sweeney Todd’ has been voted for best art direction. (ANI)
