Punj Lloyd gets 17.7 bln rupees Singapore contract

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - Engineering and construction firm, Punj Lloyd Ltd, said on Monday its unit had won a contract in Singapore worth 17.7 billion rupees.

The contract, awarded to Sembawang Engineering and Construction by Jurong Aromatics Corp Pte Ltd, is to build ancillary facilities like tanks, power plants and waste water treatment units for Jurong's energy and aromatic products plant.

Work on the project will begin in 2008 and is expected to be completed by 2011, the company said.
